The support groups are a safe environment for children to talk freely about their experiences as a sibling of a brother or sister with additional needs, and the mixed feelings that provokes within them.
Siblinks offers esteem building activities, and a chance to do activities that aren’t easy to do at home such as arts, crafts or just playing games with other children.
Most importantly, Siblinks gives children an opportunity to meet other children in similar situations to themselves. Having another child they can relate to can help relieve their feelings of isolation.
