Introduction

My Family Our Needs is a lifestyle website published by Care Choices Ltd (registered in England Company Number 02769567) whose registered office is 3 Valley Court, Lower Road, Croydon, Nr Royston Hertfordshire SG8 0HF.

Care Choices was founded in 1993 as a publisher of care information and producer of care directories for local authorities and councils. Other independent publications produced by Care Choices include Care Select and Care Management Matters.

My Family Our Needs has been developed as a lifestyle site for families of children with additional needs and the practitioners that support them. It contains real life information, features, blogs, vlogs, directories of resources and organisations. It aims at offering families and practitioners information to support them on a daily basis.

Subject to these published terms and conditions, My Family Our Needs is made available online suitable for access via desktop, tablet and smart phone devices via a bespoke website:  www.myfamilyourneeds.co.uk

By accessing and using the My Family Our Needs website and subscribing to or using any of the published information contained on the website you should be aware that all information is given by Care Choices in good faith. Care Choices Limited does not accept responsibility for any inaccuracy, loss or damage arising from use or misuse or take responsibility for the views expressed by contributors or commentators within the published product or detailed on any of its websites.

Event Terms and Conditions

Event Disruption

If the event is cancelled, postponed or has to be abandoned for reason of any Act of God, war, national emergency, civil disturbance, inevitable accident, explosion, fire, storm, labour dispute, strike, lock-out, force majeure, or on the advice of the local authority or emergency services, the non-availability of the exhibition venue of either in whole or partially or from any other cause not within the control of the organisers, the Organiser (Care Choices Ltd) will be under no liability to the exhibitor as the result of the incurrence of any such events.

Space Allocation

Stand space will be allocated by the event organisers. Every endeavour will be made to meet the general wishes of exhibitors with regard to position, without causing unfairness to others. The event organisers reserve the right to reject any proposed entry, or to cancel an entry without being required to give a reason.

Sub-letting

Sub-letting of stand space is not permitted without specific agreement of the Organiser (Care Choices Ltd).

Health & Safety/Insurance

All exhibitors are to hold full Public Liability cover in respect of all their liabilities. The exhibitor’s attention is drawn to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all subsequent legislation with regard to their duties in connection with their work activities, personnel employed, and members of the public and others who may be affected by their actions.

Fire Precautions

Fire precautions on stands are the responsibility of the exhibitor.

Security

The Organiser (Care Choices Ltd) will not be responsible, under any circumstances, for the safe keeping of equipment etc exhibited or brought into the event by exhibitors.

Fire Exits

Please ensure that you do not obstruct any fire exits at any time. If you do so you will be asked to move anything that is in the way.

Electricity

Any electrical appliance connected to a plug socket must have been tested by a competent person before it is plugged in and energised. The responsibility for ensuring this testing is carried out is that of the sponsor or exhibitor. Extension leads will not be provided by the event organiser.

Smoking

There is a strict no smoking rule throughout the all venues at which our events are held.

Exhibits and Displays

All sponsors’ and exhibitors’ displays/activity must remain in the designated stand space. No screws or similar fixings including sellotape may be used in any part of the exhibition building. Should any damage occur, the sponsor or exhibitor responsible will be liable for any repair charges incurred.

Refuse Disposal and Packing Materials

All sponsors and exhibitors are responsible for disposing of their own refuse and ensuring that no build-up of waste materials occurs. No storage for packing cases or packing materials is provided within the exhibition room. Any such materials must be removed from the exhibition room before the exhibition opens. Small items can be stored under your table.

Amendments to the event programme

Occasionally we may need to make amendments to our events programme or to our speakers. We reserve the right to do so.

Event mailing and data

The Organiser (Care Choices Ltd) may wish to keep in touch after the event, via phone, post or email. If you do not wish to receive any such communication then please inform us in writing at; 3, Valley Court Offices, Lower Rd, Croydon, Nr Royston SG8 0HF.

Event Ticket terms and conditions

Tickets Purchased are exempt from statutory cancellation rights and You are not entitled to cancel Your tickets after purchase. Tickets cannot be refunded after purchase unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled.

All Tickets are sold subject to availability and to these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions should be read carefully prior to purchase and any queries relating to them should be raised with us prior to purchase, as purchase of Ticket(s) constitutes agreement of these Terms and Conditions. A valid Ticket must be produced to get into an Event. Please notify us of any access requirements at the time of booking.

The Event organisers reserves the right to make alterations to the published Event programme where reasonably necessary. Where such alteration is a material change, you will be entitled to claim a refund.

A ‘material’ change to the programme of the Event is a change which, in Our reasonable opinion, makes the Event materially different to the Event that purchasers of the Ticket, taken generally, could reasonably expect.

If you are unable to attend the Event through no fault of Ours, we can offer a ticket exchange facility. You may, up to 2 working days’ prior, submit the name of a colleague to take your place at no extra charge.

If we need to cancel or postpone the event due to circumstances beyond our control, we will refund any conference fees paid.

These Terms and Conditions do not and shall not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. For further information about your statutory rights contact Citizens Advice, or the Department for Business Innovation and Skills

Subscription

Subscription gives access to:

  • new content email alerts;
  • monthly content round-up;
  • on-line booking for My Family Our Needs events;
  • access to all editorial.

Subscribers

Subject to approval by the My Family Our Needs team, subscription to www.myfamilyourneeds.com is free of charge. Care Choices Ltd, reserves the right to deny or remove subscriptions.

Cancellation

All subscriptions are subject to a 14 day cooling off period during which time subscribers may cancel their subscription. Please email Care Choices Ltd at subscriptions@caremanagementmatters.co.uk to notify of a subscription cancellation decision.

Data Protection

At the time of subscribing, all subscribers will be requested to submit their name, email address and generate a user name. Subscribers are responsible for the accuracy and security of their personal information. Care Choices Ltd will adhere to the requirements of the Data Protection Act in respect of your subscription information.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Privacy

When using the www.myfamilyourneeds.co.uk  website you acknowledge that all materials are protected by applicable United Kingdom and International intellectual property and other laws.
