The Adamson Trust

The Adamson Trust is a small charity based in Scotland which gives grants toward holidays for disabled children.

Children must be aged between 3 and 17 and also have physical, mental or emotional impairments.

Many of the grants are made for children with conditions such as Down’s Syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism or cystic fibrosis.

The Trustees believe that disabled children should be able to go on holiday with or without their families. Thus, as well as grants to individual families, the Trust also makes larger block grants to other charities which provide holidays or outings for disabled children.

It is our privilege to give disabled children chance to experience the fun and freedom, even for a short while, that others may take for granted. It could be a little girl in a wheelchair abseiling or a terminally ill child and their family making precious memories. Perhaps a teenager with communication difficulties going sailing and making friends with youngsters who have similar problems.

The six Trustees meet four times a year and dispense a total of about £80,000 a year. They would be delighted to hear from you.
