Mathew Horne

Introducing the 2021 BAPS Awards host, Mathew Horne.

Mathew Horne is a British performer, writer and director. Best known for his portrayal of Gavin in the beloved Gavin and Stacey, he is a brilliant comedy performer with numerous credits to his name. Other credits include the Dad’s Army reboot (UKTV), Drunk History (Tiger Aspect), Agatha Raisin (Sky), Catherine Tate’s Nan (Tiger Aspect), Bad Education (BBC3) and anticipated feature film This Nan’s Life, reprising his role of Catherine Tate’s Nan’s grandson Jamie. Other film credits include Bad Education (Cavebear Productions) and Breaking the Bank (BTB Production Ltd.)

Horne is also a wonderful stage performer. His portrayal of Raymond in Rain Man produced by Bill Kenwright Productions garnered rave reviews. Other theatre credits include Charley’s Aunt (Mernier Chocolate Factory/Theatre Royal Bath) and The Miser (Mark Goucher Productions).

I am thrilled to have been asked to host this year’s Bloody Awesome Parent Awards. My brother has Autism and learning difficulties and so I have seen first-hand the struggles he and my family have faced – the SEND world can be a daunting and overwhelming place at times.’
