SEN Legal is a specialist education and disability law firm with a national client base.
We act solely on behalf of parents/young persons in SEND Tribunal Appeals and Disability Discrimination claims. We do not represent Local Authorities.
We also act for parents/young persons in Deputyship Applications and proceedings, Powers of Attorney, Judicial Review, Social Care, Personal Budgets, Exclusions and Admissions Appeals.
We also advise schools on Ofsted, funding, contract terms and Annual Reviews.
SEN Legal was first set up due to Principal Solicitor – Melinda Nettleton’s struggle to obtain support for her own son who has special educational needs. Many members of our staff have first-hand experience of living with special educational needs and disabilities, so can really relate to the difficulties their clients face.
Both versions of our book (written to assist parents in navigating the very tricky world of special educational needs) titled ‘Special Needs and Legal Entitlement – the essential getting to getting out of the maze’ are available from Amazon. They are parent-friendly guides, updated to include the most recent developments and key issues.
